New Faces are #1!

In December, Three Imaginary Girls, everyone's favorite Seattle indie-pop blog, hosted a reader's poll to determine the best Northwest releases of '08.  As of Monday, we are pretty darn stoked to find out that New Faces' "Two Years" beat out Fleet Foxes' Self-Titled album for the #1 Spot!  Thanks TIG readers for giving a Loveless band such end-of-'08 luvin'!

Tom Brosseau at The Triple Door

Hello Loveless fans!
I know I'm a little late with this, but former Loveless artist Tom Brosseau played a show a couple of weeks ago at The Triple Door.  German Pianist Hauschka and Seattle Musician Rafael Anton Irissari opened for him.  It was a great show! Be sure to go see Tom next time he's in town!

Clip from The Paramount

Hey everyone!
If you missed New Faces at the mayor's "Seattle City of Music" event last month (or just wish to relive the show over and over), you're in luck!
Here is a video that includes many of the events of that night, but, most importantly (to us anyway), there is a clip of New Faces performing "Ms. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" about 12 minutes and 45 seconds in! Enjoy!

New Faces in the P-I

Yesterday's "City of Music" event was a success!  If you didn't come, here's what you missed
-Some Austin Powersesque dancin'
-Some people talkin' (The Mayor, folks from KEXP and Subpop)
-NEW FACES
-Blue Scholars
-A marching band playing a Jimi Hendrix tune
-Free Stuff (New Faces Posters, Event Posters, Jones Soda, etc)
-Saying hi to the interns at the merch table.

New Faces performed a killer three-song ("Impulse", "Cracks" and "Miss Kiss Kiss Bang Bang") set to a crowd of about 500 of Seattle's musically concerned citizens.
The Seattle P-I covered the event, and New Faces are featured in their article and photos!
To read about the event, Click Here
And to see their pictures, Click Here. (They're in photos 9, 11, 12, 13, and 19)

More pictures to come. Thanks to everyone that made it!
